Should I protect myself? We're going on vacation in a few days. My mom is starting to tip on doing it.Should I wear a surgical mask or latex gloves at the airport to prevent catching swine flu?

Your not being serious surely ? A little melo dramatic do you not think? Have you left your house to go shopping at all, because if you have then your at the same risk of catching it then? If you walk into a airport wearing a surgical mask and latex gloves, you will 1. get looked at as if you have some kind of problem and 2. probably be asked if you are a terroist, so yeah if you like :D hope you have a nice holiday
look swine flu is the flu. I actually had it a few weeks ago. just a flu. best way to prevent it, is to NOT touch your face, and wash your hands properly. ok. even if you wear a mask you have to touch your face to adjust and remove it, so you're not really stopping germs.
swine flue isn't that big of a deal. its just like the regular flu, probably a few degrees worse, but its no big deal. you don't have to make a big scene because your scared your gonna get it. the do have cures for swine flu.
rly? thats crazy talk here...the swine flu is nothin more then the regular flu.....except a bit stronger....so rly theres nothing to it. otherwise we'd all have masks and gloves for the seasonal flu. just stay healthy and if u get it treat it like a flu....

The swine flew Virus can go through the Surgical mask..( i remember hearing that on the news). I would say just stay away from anyone who looks sick. Wash your hands often and carry hand sanitizer.
no, but if you are really worried just take some Air born start a few days before the flight and continue to take it through your trip.
I dont know about the gloves but a mask will not help you. Particles still get through it.
